Ferris State Winter Student-Athletes Garner GLIAC All-Academic Team Recognition

Big Rapids, Mich. - A total of 41 Ferris State University student-athletes have achieved Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) All-Academic & All-Academic Excellence Team honors for the recently-completed 2019-20 winter athletics campaign as announced by the league office. The teams are sponsored by Meijer, Inc.

The 41 Bulldog student-athletes represent four varsity programs, including men's and women's basketball along with men's and women's indoor track and field.

Overall, a total of 644 student-athletes achieved all-academic recognition from across the conference member institutions this past winter season.

Ferris State had 18 student-athletes tabbed to the GLIAC All-Academic Team and another 23 who received GLIAC All-Academic Excellence Team recognition.

Criteria states the student-athlete must be an active member on the roster at the end of the season, not a freshman or a first year transfer student. All-Academic Teams are comprised of those student-athletes that meet criteria and carry a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0-3.49. Academic Excellence Teams are comprised of student athletes that have a cumulative GPA of 3.50-4.0. Grades are based on marks from the fall semester.
