Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University Athletics Department, in conjunction with the Bulldog Sports Network and local flagship station Sunny 97.3 FM, have announced plans for a weekly radio show to be aired this fall.

"Ferris State Friday's Live" will air this week on Friday (Dec. 11) from 10 a.m. (ET) to 12 p.m. (ET) on both Sunny 97.3 FM and online at FerrisStateBulldogs.com.

The two-hour show will run weekly in the same time slot each Friday and be hosted by longtime radio play-by-play voice Rob Bentley, who currently serves as FSU's Assistant Athletics Director for Communications. He'll be joined by a rotating co-host each week, including Bulldog Hockey play-by-play broadcaster Harrison Watt along with veteran color commentator Sandy Gholston among others.

The show, which will air live initially from selected on-campus locations, is expected to run throughout the remainder of the fall or until traditional game broadcasts resume once the athletics season returns.

"We're looking forward to talking about the Bulldogs throughout the rest of the fall and giving fans an opportunity to hear from our coaches, student-athletes and staff along with other key individuals," said Bentley. "This fall has been like no other due to the COVID-19 pandemic and this show will allow us to continue to tell the great stories of Ferris State Athletics."

Along with the live radio broadcast, the show will also be streamed with a live video webcast on the Bulldogs' official YouTube page at youtube.com/ferrisathletics.

In addition to interview segments with coaches and athletics, the show will also feature great moments in Bulldog history, periodic special guests along with the latest news and information pertaining to Ferris State Athletics.

Sunny 97.3 FM has been the official radio "Home of the Bulldogs" and the flagship station of the Bulldog Sports Network since the 2011-12 athletics season. The station typically airs all Bulldog football, hockey along with men's and women's basketball contests live throughout the year in addition to other selected events.
