GLIAC Tournament Matchups Set For Ferris State Basketball Squads

Big Rapids, Mich. - The postseason matchups and pairings are set for the Ferris State University men's and women's basketball squads as the Bulldogs are slated to open Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Tournament action this coming week.

The Bulldog men's basketball team earned the number four overall seed and will receive a first-round bye for the conference tournament. FSU is slated to face fifth-seeded Ashland on Thursday (March 4) with tipoff set for 3:15 p.m. (ET) in Hammond, Ind. Purdue Northwest will host the final three rounds of the league tournament with the quarterfinals on Thursday, semifinals on Friday and the championship game on Sunday in Hammond.

Meanwhile, the Bulldog women will be the number nine seed and travel to eighth-seeded Parkside on Tuesday (March 2) for a 4 p.m. (ET) first-round game in Kenosha, Wis. The winner of Tuesday's first-round game will advance to Thursday's quarterfinals, which will also be hosted by Purdue Northwest with the women's tournament taking place in Westville, Ind. The women's semifinals are on Friday evening with the championship game also set for Sunday in Westville. Teams will be reseeded following Tuesday's first-round action.

The winner of both the GLIAC men's and women's basketball tournaments will receive an automatic berth into the NCAA Division II Tournament.
