Support Bulldog Athletics In The One Day For Dawgs Effort!

Big Rapids, Mich. - Ferris State University alumni, fans and supporters can help support Bulldog Athletics and several important projects that will impact student-athletes during the school's "One Day For Dawgs" effort.

The "One Day For Dawgs" is Ferris State University's annual day of giving, empowering university groups to raise funds for scholarships, programs, equipment and more. The day, which takes place April 13, offers alumni, friends and family the opportunity to be part of the university's mission to make the college experience for current and future students a transformational one.

This year, more than 60 different programs from across the university have joined the effort to be part of the mission and are asking alumni, family and friends to join the vision and make a gift. All dollars will go directly towards each special cause.

Bulldog Athletics is a visible part of the "One Day For Dawgs" effort with many of the university's 17 varsity athletics programs directly taking part along with other affiliated causes such as athletics broadcasting & multimedia, the Brutus mascot program and more.

While "One Day for Dawgs" is set for April 13, significant dollars have already been raised for a number of charitable causes and donations can be made with additional information provided on each cause at the link below. Those interested in supporting the university can also text ODFD to 71777 to make their donation (message & data rates may apply).

Three challenge gifts directly impacting Bulldog Athletics will also take place as part of the April 13 effort, including a $2,000 challenge from Jean Elder for all donations directly supporting Bulldog Football up to that figure along with a $1,000 challenge from FSU Athletics Director Steve Brockelbank for all donations toward the Bulldog Athletics' One Day for Dawgs effort.

Additionally, thanks to the support of Tim Murphy, several other challenge gift opportunities totaling up to $5,000 will also be part of the effort, including special opportunities for programs with the most new donors overall, most alumni donors, most alumni donations before noon on April 13, most alumni donations after noon that day along with the most individual donors in both the 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. hours.
