Football
The two-time defending NCAA Division II National Champion Ferris State Bulldogs fell to FCS #11 Montana 17-10 in a hard-fought thriller before a crowd of nearly 27,000 fans on Saturday night at Washington-Grizzly Stadium in Missoula, Mont. The Bulldogs are off this week and will return to Top Taggart Field on Saturday, Sept. 30, for homecoming against Northern Michigan at 3 p.m. (ET). FSU is the #1 D2 team in the country.
Volleyball
The nation's 24th-ranked Bulldog Volleyball squad opened GLIAC play with a perfect 2-0 mark over the weekend, beating Wayne State 3-2 on Thursday in Detroit before a 3-0 sweep over Parkside at home on Saturday. FSU opens a five-match road swing at Saginaw Valley State & Davenport this weekend.
Women's Soccer
Ferris State Soccer opened conference play on the road this past weekend, falling to rival Grand Valley State by a narrow 2-1 score in Allendale on Friday evening before battling to a 1-1 draw with Davenport on Sunday in Caledonia. The Bulldogs are back at home this weekend, hosting Northern Michigan on Friday (4 pm) & Michigan Tech on Sunday (1 pm) for Senior Day.
Golf
The Bulldog men's golf team hosts its only home competition of the season on Monday & Tuesday at Katke Golf Course with tee times starting at 9:30 a.m. The women's team will also host its home event beginning on Sunday and Monday this coming week at Katke.
Hockey
Single-Game tickets for the upcoming 2023-24 Bulldog Hockey season went on sale this past week for all 18 home games. Tickets can be purchased online at FerrisStateBulldogs.com/Tickets. Any past season ticket holders wishing to renew their seats can still do so thru the end of this week by calling (231) 591-2888.
Tennis / Cross Country
The Ferris State women's tennis team had a strong performance at the ITA Midwest Regional Championships in Indianapolis over the weekend. Meanwhile, the men's squad will compete in the Davenport Tourney on Sept. 22 in Allendale with their regional championships the following weekend starting on Sept. 30 .... The Bulldog cross country teams ran strong at the Michigan State Spartan Invite on Friday in East Lansing with the women fifth and the men eighth overall.
