Five Ferris State National Champion Standouts Named To D2Football Elite 100 All-America Team

Big Rapids, Mich. - Five members of the 2021 NCAA Division II National Champion Ferris State University Bulldogs have earned All-America honors by being named to the D2Football.com Elite 100 Team.

D2Football, which is the nation's leading source covering Division II football, unveiled its top 100 All-America list as part of its postseason awards show this week.

FSU senior offensive tackle Dylan Pasquali (Trenton) earned All-America First Team honors for the Bulldogs, maintaining his status as a consensus first-team All-America choice after being named the Gene Upshaw Division II Lineman of the Year this past fall.

Additionally, Ferris State had two D2Football All-America Second Team choices in junior offensive tackle Zein Obeid (Dearborn/Fordson) along with sophomore defensive end Caleb Murphy (Dowagiac), who both earned All-America honors this year for the first time in their collegiate careers.

Finally, FSU also had two other representatives on the D2 Elite 100 All-America team in senior quarterback Jared Bernhardt (Longwood, Fla.) and senior center Jake Boonstra (Grand Rapids/Kenowa Hills).

Together, the five All-America standouts helped lead FSU to the school's first D2 National Championship this fall. The Bulldogs finished the year with a perfect 14-0 record, beating Valdosta State (Ga.) 58-17 in the national championship game on Dec. 18 in McKinney, Texas. FSU also won a third consecutive GLIAC Championship this year and stretched its regular-season winning streak to 38 consecutive games and counting.
