Redshirted during the 2016-17 campaign ... Member of FSU team that won a third consecutive GLIAC Tournament Championship and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the third year in a row while winning a school-record 28 games.
Prior To FSU: Peterson, a wing, averaged 15.2 points per game along with 7.7 rebounds and nearly two assists an outing while earning Detroit Free Press All-State accolades for the Rams under prep head coach Nick Allen.
The Rockford native was an All-Ottawa Kent (OK) Red Conference selection as a senior and also claimed Bank Hoops All-State laurels. He scored a career-best 23 points in an outing and was also tabbed to the holiday all-tournament team. Along with his impressive basketball credentials, Peterson also carried a 3.6 GPA off the court and recorded a high ACT score at RHS.
Besides playing prep basketball for the Rams, Peterson also competed on the AAU level for the West Michigan-based Grand Rapids Storm.
