#13 Ferris State Men's Basketball Opens Road Trip With Decisive Regional Win

Big Rapids, Mich. - The 13th-ranked Ferris State University men's basketball squad used a big first half en route to a decisive 89-70 win over Davis & Elkins on Saturday (Nov. 10) in West Virginia.

The Bulldogs built a 55-32 lead at the break and improved to 2-1 on the year by taking out the Senators in the regional road contest.

Junior guard D'angelo Hughes led FSU with a team-high 18 points and went four-of-six from long range while the Bulldogs also got 11 points from junior guard Greg Williams in addition to 10 points each off the bench by sophomore Jaylin McFadden and freshman Mason Pline.

FSU shot 58% for the game and hit 11-of-22 (50%) three's along with 18-of-25 (72%) free throws.

The Bulldogs also owned a 46-21 rebounding edge and forced 15 turnvovers in the victory while holding Davis & Elkins to 40% shooting for the day.

Ferris State will face another regional foe on Sunday (Nov. 11) in West Virginia as the Bulldogs take on Alderson-Broaddus at 1 p.m. (ET).
