Saturday's Ferris State Men's Basketball Home Opener Pushed To A 4 PM Start

Big Rapids, Mich. - Ferris State University has announced the official starting time has changed for the Bulldog men's basketball squad's 2019-20 regular-season home opener set for Saturday, Nov. 9.

The Bulldogs, who are a perfect 3-0 to date, will host Davis & Elkins (W.Va.) in their first home action of the year on Saturday with tipoff time moved to 4 p.m. (ET).

The game was pushed back due to the change in time for the Bulldogs' Anchor-Bone Classic rivalry football game against Grand Valley State, which now starts at 12:07 p.m. The time adjustment will allow Bulldog fans to catch three different home events on Saturday with football at noon, men's basketball at 4 p.m. and the Bulldog Hockey home tilt against Western Michigan starting at 8:07 p.m.

Ferris State started off the 2019-20 regular-season in a big way over the weekend as FSU posted a perfect 3-0 mark at the D2 Tipoff Classic in Anaheim, Calif. FSU beat Wayne State (Neb.) 100-78 on Friday night before topping Texas Permian-Basin 111-91 on Saturday and closing with a 91-83 overtime victory against nationally 23rd-ranked Concordia-Irvine (Calif.) in Sunday's tourney finale.

Along with Saturday's home game against Davis & Elkins, the Bulldogs will then face Alderson-Broaddus (W.Va.) in regional action on Sunday (Nov. 10) beginning at 1 p.m. (ET). The two home games this weekend begin a 10-game homestand that runs until early December when Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) play begins for FSU.
