Ferris State Men's Basketball To Host Annual Alumni Game This Saturday Afternoon

Big Rapids, Mich.- The Ferris State University men's basketball team will take the floor for the first time this Saturday (Oct. 23) as the Bulldogs hold their annual Alumni Game inside FSU's Jim Wink Arena. 

Tipoff is set for 3 p.m. (ET) and admission will be free as the Bulldogs welcome back stars from the past for the exhibition tilt. 

Per the current campus policy, masks continue to be required in all confined indoor spaces and events on campus at this time, including home basketball games. The Bulldogs will continue to follow national, local and campus guidance regarding all COVID-19 protocols. Additionally, due to construction, lot 46 to the east side of the Ewigleben Sports Complex is now closed. Fans should park to the west behind the sports complex in Lot 20 (main lot) for all events.

More than 20 former Bulldog players from different eras are slated to be in attendance, including several key players from FSU's 2018 NCAA Division II National Championship team along with standouts from many of the school's top teams over the past decade.

The Ferris State men's basketball program will open its ninth season under head coach Andy Bronkema with lofty preseason expectations again. The Bulldogs have won 20 games or more six times in the past seven years to date. Eight letter winners return from last year's squad.

Following Saturday's Alumni game, the Bulldogs will play an exhibition road outing against NCAA Division I Michigan State on Wednesday, Oct. 27, at the Breslin Center in East Lansing. FSU will also face another D1 opponent in traditional power Xavier University on Friday, Nov. 5, in Cincinnati, Ohio.

The 2021-22 men's basketball regular season will tipoff on Nov. 12 when the Bulldogs play host to Ohio Dominican in regional action inside FSU's Jim Wink Arena. The Bulldogs then host Drury (Mo.) in another regional game as part of the season-opening home weekend on Nov. 14 in Big Rapids.
