Ferris State's Dorian Aluyi Earns GLIAC North Division Player Of Week Honor

Big Rapids, Mich. - Ferris State University men's basketball senior standout Dorian Aluyi (Chicago, Ill.) has earned the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) North Division Player of the Week honor.

Aluyi led the nationally-ranked Bulldogs to a pair of big GLIAC wins this past week, averaging 19 points per game and shooting 50% from the floor in the stretch.

Aluyi began the week with 15 points, four boards, three assists and two steals in a dominating 104-73 home win on Monday over Wayne State. He then came back to score a team-high 23 points with five rebounds and four assists on Thursday night as the Bulldogs beat archival Grand Valley State before a big crowd in Allendale by a 83-76 count to remain the league's only unbeaten team in conference play.

The veteran standout hit a pair of clutch three-point shots in the final four minutes of the game, helping FSU pull away from the Lakers.

Overall, he totaled 38 points, nine boards, seven assists and three steals in the two games while connecting on eight-of-14 (57.1%) threes and four-of-five (80%) free throws.

The Bulldogs will host Lake Superior State on Thursday (Jan. 20) night inside Jim Wink Arena with tipoff for the GLIAC encounter set for 7:30 p.m. (ET).
