Bulldog Hoops Teams Welcome Lake Superior State For Thursday Night Doubleheader At Wink Arena

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's and women's basketball squads will host the Lake Superior State Lakers in a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) home doubleheader on Thursday (Jan. 20) night inside FSU's Jim Wink Arena.

The Bulldogs will square off against LSSU with the women's tilt starting first at 5:30 p.m. (ET) followed by the men's game at approximately 7:30 p.m. (ET).

Thursday night's action represents the lone competition this week for both Bulldog teams, who are next scheduled to open a three-game league road stretch at Northwood on Monday (Jan. 24) evening.

Currently, the Bulldog men's basketball squad is ranked 15th nationally in the Division II Sports Information Directors of America (D2SIDA) National Poll along with 24th by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC). FSU is also the top team in the Midwest Region in the D2SIDA listing and owns a 12-3 overall record along with a league-leading 7-0 conference slate. The Lakers maintain a 9-4 record and are 4-3 in the GLIAC to date.

Meanwhile, the Bulldog women's team is presently off to one of its best starts in program history at 12-4 overall this year and the Bulldogs are currently 6-2 in GLIAC play following a 72-55 conference road win at Davenport this past Saturday. LSSU is 2-8 overall and 1-3 in league play heading into Thursday night's tilt.

Both of Thursday's games will be carried live on flagship station Sunny 97.3 FM and the Bulldog Sports Network with pregame coverage starting a half-hour prior to the women's game. FSU will also provide a live pay-per-view video webcast and interest statistics along with social media updates for the twin bill.
