Ferris State Stays Perfect On Trip To Canada With Friday Night Victory

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's basketball squad stayed unbeaten on its three-game exhibition tour to Canada as the Bulldogs topped the Waterloo Warriors 70-59 on Friday (Aug. 26) night.

After beating the University of Toronto by 18 points in Thursday's first game of the trip, the Bulldogs came back and took a nine-point halftime edge in Friday's second contest. FSU then opened the game up by outscoring the Warriors 22-14 in the third period of action and came away with the triumph.

Solomon Oraegbu paced the Bulldogs with a team-high 17 points while junior Vejas Grazulis added 15 points. FSU's Amari Lee also tallied 12 points off the bench as the Bulldogs moved to 2-0 on the trip.

For Waterloo, the Warriors were led by Kuel Thomas with 14 points. Sam Pierson added 10 points for the hosts.

The Bulldogs shot better than 53% for the game and led by as many as 17 points in the game at one stage.

FSU will close its trip to Canada by facing Western University of Ontario on Sunday (Aug. 28) starting at 2 p.m. (ET).
