Ferris State Men's Golf To Compete In GLIAC Championships This Weekend

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's golf team will compete in the 2014 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Championships Friday thru Sunday (Oct. 10-12).

The event will be held at Cherry Blossom Golf Course in Georgetown, Ky., beginning on Friday morning with split-tee times starting at 8:30 a.m. (ET).

The 2014 GLIAC Championships will consist of 54 holes as the teams will play one round each day.  The low four of five scores will count towards the respective team score for each squad.

The second round action will begin on Saturday at 8:30 a.m. (ET) with Sunday's final round of action slated for a 8:30 a.m. (ET) start.  All rounds are weather and frost permitting.

Ferris State earned runner-up honors two years at the 2012 GLIAC Men's Golf Championship before placing sixth a year ago in 2013.  Overall, the Bulldogs have captured 19 GLIAC Men's Golf Championships in school history.
