FSU's Thomas Hursey Chosen As GLIAC Men's Golf Player Of the Week For Second-Straight Week

Big Rapids, Mich. - For the second consecutive week, Ferris State University sophomore men's golfer Thomas Hursey (Suttons Bay) has been chosen as the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Player of the Week.

Hursey earned individual medalist honors for the second consecutive tournament at the Bill Blazer Memorial over the weekend in Pickerington, Ohio. 

In the event, Hursey tied for first overall in regulation with a 137 score on rounds of 68 Friday and 69 on Saturday before eventually winning a four-hole playoff for medalist honors. 

His play helped FSU finish third overall in the tournament held at Turnberry Golf Course.

The Bulldogs will next take part in the GLIAC Championships set for Friday thru Sunday, April 16-18, in Augusta, Mich.
