Bio

Junior (2017-18): Dressed in 26 games, primarily on defense for Ferris State, finished with three goals and two assists for five points….had one power play goal and one game-winning goal…had a season-high six shots on goal vs. Lake Superior State on Feb. 24.

Sophomore (2016-17 Season): Dressed in 25 games, started the year as a forward but dressed as a defensemen in the second half of the season…finished with five assists…had assists in back-to-back games on Jan. 28 (vs. Bowling Green) and Feb. 10 (at Michigan Tech), both were Bulldog wins…four of his five points came in conference play.

Freshman (2015-16 Season): Helped FSU to a NCAA Regional Final appearance as well as the first WCHA Tournament Championship in team history...Finished his freshman season with three goals and three assists in 28 games...Scored first collegiate goal Jan. 1 vs. Harvard, and added his second the next day vs. UConn, which was also his first career game-winner...Played in five of the team's six postseason contests and registered one assist.

High School/Juniors: A product of Glenshaw, Pa., Hetz spent the past three yeares with the Fairbanks Ice Dogs in the North American Hockey League (NAHL). During his three seasons in Alaska, he appeared in 173 games and tallied 119 total points on 58 goals and 61 assists in regular season play. Additionally, he played in 29 playoff games and had 19 points with 11 goals and eight assists.

Hetz had the best season to date of his career in 2014-15 as he tallied 63 points on a career-high 28 goals and 35 assists in 60 contests. He added seven points in six playoff games, including six goals, while ranking among the NAHL’s leading scorers year.
