Bio

High School/Junior: Played for two-time defending Coach of the Year Bliss Littler of the Wenatchee Wild in 2017-18 in the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) where he won the RBC Cup with the Wild. Took place in Washington Capitals Development Camp in Summer 2018. Was named the BCHL Defenseman of the Year, All BCHL First-Team, and All BCHL Rookie First Team. Led the league in assists (58) and finished with 69 points in 58 regular season games and added 23 points in 20 playoff games on four goals and 19 assists. Prior to his time in Wenatchee, Zech had 57 points in 92 games for the Odessa Jackalopes of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) from 2015-2017. Dressed in 25 games for the Muskegon Lumberjacks in the United States Hockey League (USHL) in 2016-17 and totaled four points. Played for Victory Honda from 2012-2015.

Personal: The son of Timothy and Laura Zech…born December 18, 1998…plays defense and shoots left…native of South Lyon, Michigan…brother Zach plays for Associate Head Coach Drew Famulak’s Alma Mater, Wisconsin Stevens-Point (NCAA Div. III)…enjoys fishing in his free time.
