Big Rapids, Mich. - Two more goals by Ferris State junior forward Marshall Moise ran his weekend total to four as the Ferris State men's ice hockey team took down the Alabama Huntsville Chargers 3-1 on Saturday (Dec. 14) at Ewigleben Ice Arena in Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) play.

Ferris State senior goaltender Austin Shaw made 21 saves and picked up an assist in the win while Moise continued his goal-scoring tear in his return to the line up this weekend.

The Bulldogs got on the board first at 17:56 of the first period on a power play goal when redshirt senior defenseman Zach Yoder took two whacks at a loose puck and tucked it past the outstretched right toe of UAH goaltender Mark Sinclair for a 1-0 lead. The goal was Yoder's third of the season, while senior defenseman Nate Kallen picked up his seventh assist of the year, and freshman defenseman Jake Willets' team leading 14th helper of the season.

The 1-0 lead stood into the third period when Moise scored his sixth of the season and first of the night at 4:06 of the final frame on a highlight reel goal.

In the Ferris State end, freshman defenseman Blake Evennou battle a puck out of the right wing corner and scooted it to junior forward Liam MacDougall who fired a stretch pass ahead to Moise. Moise played the puck through a defender, split the defensemen and fired a shot inside the left goal post for the 2-0 lead and eventual game-winning goal. Evennou (8) and MacDougall (6) picked up the helpers on Moise's first goal of the night.

Late in the third with Ferris State killing a penalty, Shaw came out of his goal to play the puck in the Bulldog end, and chipped a pass to senior defenseman Joe Rutkowski. Rutkowski hit Moise out at center ice against the left wing wall. Moise slid a shot center cage from 100-feet for the 3-1 final, his seventh goal of the season, and second of the night at 19:58 of the third period for a shorthanded goal.
