Ferris State Hockey Ticket Update For First Two Home Games This Season

Big Rapids, Mich. - Due to the current Michigan Department of Health and Human Services emergency order restricting attendance at all sporting events across the state, no fans will be allowed into at least the first two Ferris State University home hockey games this season.

Ferris State, which is slated to open non-conference action this season at Lake Superior State on Friday (Nov. 27) night, will host LSSU in the Bulldogs' first official home athletics competition of the 2020-21 season on Sunday (Nov. 29) afternoon with puck drop set for 3:07 p.m. (ET) at the Ewigleben Ice Arena.

No fans will be allowed for either the Nov. 29 game against LSSU or the Dec. 4 home matchup against Alabama-Huntsville due to the emergency order, which went into effect on Nov. 18 and runs currently thru Dec. 8.

The Bulldogs are expecting to allow limited spectators for home action this season once the emergency order is lifted and additional information regarding ticket and fan availability will be announced soon. Current Blueline Club members, player families and past season ticket holders from last season will be provided ticket information in the near future pending any further state, university or league mandates in regards to the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Our game environment will certainly be different without the strong support of our Bulldog fans due to the emergency order, but we're excited to have our team back on the ice and competing with the understanding that the health and safety of everyone comes first as it has throughout all of our planning during this pandemic," said FSU Athletics Director Perk Weisenburger. "We're looking forward to the time when we can welcome back our loyal and passionate fans to the Ewigleben Ice Arena in at least a limited capacity as we embark on our final season of competition in the WCHA."

Despite not being able to attend the first two home games, fans will still be able to watch the Bulldogs compete thru the WCHA's pay-per-view online streaming package via FloHockey. This weekend's games will also be carried live on local flagship radio station Sunny 97.3 FM and the Bulldog Sports Network with Harrison Watt calling the play-by-play action.
