Ferris State Hockey Schedule Update For This Weekend

Ferris State Hockey Schedule Update For This Weekend

Big Rapids, Mich. - Ferris State University has announced this weekend's non-conference, season-opening hockey series between the Bulldogs and Lake Superior State will not be played due to COVID-19 concerns.

The two schools were slated to play on Friday (Nov. 27) night in Sault Ste. Marie along with Sunday (Nov. 29) in Big Rapids.

Daily testing of the Bulldogs' men's hockey team confirmed a positive result that will not allow the series with Lake Superior State to be played. The Bulldogs' testing regimen has followed both state health department guidelines along with the Western Collegiate Hockey Association's (WCHA) Return to Competition protocols.

This weekend's series is canceled and immediate future competition involving the Bulldog men's ice hockey team is pending based on outcomes related to full contact tracing.
