Total Of 26 Bulldogs Honored for Academic Achievement by CCHA

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) has released their Academic Awards which honored 26 Bulldogs among the 196 total CCHA Honorees.

Ferris State had 12 Scholar Athletes honored by the CCHA, for a 3.50 Grade Point Average or greater. Freshman Nico DeVita, Sophomores Ben Schultheis, Mitch Deelstra, Austin McCarthy and Luke Farthing, juniors Connor Fedorek, Cade Kowalski, Brenden Rons, and Carter McPhail, and seniors Brendon & Justin Michaelian as well as Roni Salmenkangas were Scholar Athlete Honorees.

Joining them at the CCHA All-Academic Level (3.0 GPA or greater) were freshmen Kaleb Ergang, Nick Grimaldi, Bradley Marek, and Nick Nardecchia, sophomores Drew Cooper, Jacob Dirks, Stepan Pokorny, Logan Stein, Antonio Venuto, juniors Blake Evennou, Brenden MacLaren, and Dallas Tulik, and seniors Liam MacDougall, Ethan Stewart, and Marshall Moise.

The Bulldogs were near the top of the CCHA in Scholar Athletes and All-Academic Athletes in 2021-22.

Ferris State will return 18 All-Academic Athletes for the upcoming 2022-23 season.
