Gault scored the game-winning goal at 6:30 in the third, his 10th goal of the season and CCHA-best fifth game-winner. Burtch worked into the low circle and then sent a pass backside to Gault for the score. Andrew Noel started the play with a pass to Burtch out of corner and got his second assist while Burtch collected his 14th helper.

Doell drew a BSU defender and found Best wide open for the goal. Best's eighth goal of the year was his first empty netter. Doell got his seventh assist and Shoudy's assist was his ninth of the season and fourth point of the weekend.

FSU finished with 16 shots on goal, 30 faceoff wins, went 0-2 on the power play and 2-2 on the kill. BSU had 30 shots on goal and won 33 faceoffs.

FSU lost 4-2 in Sault Ste. Marie Nov. 15 before topping LSSU 3-2 in the first ever collegiate hockey game at Centre Ice Arena in Traverse City Nov. 16.
