FSU Defenseman Travis Shoudy Named to All-CCHA Second Team
Big Rapids, Mich. – Ferris State Hockey junior defenseman Travis Shoudy (Marysville, Mich.) was tabbed a member of the All-CCHA Second Team following a strong season as FSU's Captain.
Shoudy garnered All-Conference recognition for the first time in his career, joining five other CCHA players also receiving All-Conference honors for the first time. For a full list of both the First and Second Teams, see below.
As a junior, Shoudy led all Bulldog defensemen with 18 points, six goals and 12 assists. His six goals were tied for second most among CCHA defensemen and were a career high while his 18 points were tied for fourth most amongst conference blueliners. He finished second on the team in both shots on goal (90) and blocked shots (47), finished +1 and was one of five skaters to appear in all 36 games.
In league play this season, Shoudy produced a 5-12-17 line and +7 rating. He blocked a season-high four shots in FSU's 2-0 shutout victory over then #14 Minnesota State on Jan. 24.
Shoudy had two separate four-game point streaks this season. From Jan. 10-Jan. 18, he had a 2-5-7 line with at least one point in four straight, and then followed that up with a 2-4-6 line with points in four straight from Jan. 31-Feb. 15. He was named CCHA Defenseman of the Month for January, pacing conference blueliners with four goals, six assists, 10 points and a +9 rating.
Shoudy and the Bulldogs had their 2024-25 season ended in the CCHA Mason Cup Quarterfinals against St. Thomas this past weekend and will now turn their attention to the offseason.
