Bulldog Men's Tennis Wins Season Opener

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's tennis team officially opened its 2012 campaign with a 6-3 triumph on the road over Aquinas in non-league play on Wednesday (Feb. 15) at the Orchard Hills Club  in Grand Rapids.

Head Coach Alex Palladino's Bulldogs swept the doubles round with the closest margin coming by an 8-5 count at the number one flight.

FSU also took the bottom three singles positions to earn the win.  The Saints were able to pull out three points by winning the top three singles flights.

Ferris State will play two more matches away from home this weekend as the Bulldogs travel to Toledo, Ohio.  FSU takes on Case Western Reserve in a neutral site match on Friday (Feb. 17) at 6 p.m. (ET) at the Perrysburg Tennis Center.  The Bulldogs then visit NCAA Division I Toledo on Saturday (Feb. 18) for a 7:30 p.m. (ET) encounter.

FSU's home opener is next Tuesday, Feb. 21, versus Davenport at 6:30 p.m. (ET) inside the FSU Racquet and Fitness Center.
