Men's Tennis Suffers Narrow Loss At Home

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's tennis team was back at home on Tuesday (March 13) for a non-league tilt, but fell to regional foe Lewis (Ill.) by a narrow 5-4 score indoors at the FSU Racquet and Fitness Center.

The visiting Flyers took two of the three doubles flights and then notched wins in the top three singles positions to drop the Bulldogs to 5-4 overall this campaign.

Ferris State managed to win the third doubles spot and swept the bottom three places in the singles lineup.

With the win, the Flyers improved to 7-2 overall this season.

Ferris State opens Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) play on the road this weekend as FSU travels to Michigan's Upper Peninsuala.  The Bulldogs will square off against Lake Superior State in the league opener on Friday, March 16, starting at 1 p.m. (ET) in Sault Ste. Marie, Mich.

FSU then heads to Houghton to face Michigan Tech on Saturday, March 17, at 10 a.m. (ET).
