Men's Tennis Wins Four Of Six Flights In Finishing Toledo Rocket Invitational

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's tennis squad took four of six flights played on the second and final day of the Toledo Rocket Invitational held on Saturday (Oct. 5) in Toledo, Ohio.

The non-scoring team dual format featured FSU, Ohio Dominican, host Toledo, Wayne State, Purdue and case Western Reserve.

The Bulldogs battled both Ohio Dominican and Purdue on Saturday and came away winning two of three flights versus both schools.

In the match versus Ohio Dominican, the Bulldogs received a straight-set singles win from Will Huntington along with a doubles victory by the tandem of Otto Keresztes and Laurent Galarneau.

Meanwhile, the Bulldogs also captured two wins in three tries versus NCAA Division I Purdue.  Laurent Mailloux was a straight-set winner while Jose Calero also won quickly in two sets against the Boilermakers.

The action wrapped up the fall campaign for the Bulldogs, who are next slated to hit the courts on February 1, 2014, as they begin the dual season with a non-league home contest versus Davenport inside the FSU Racquet and Fitness Center at 10 a.m. (ET).
