Men's Tennis Opens Homestand With Decisive GLIAC Win

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's tennis team rolled past Lake Erie by a 9-0 score in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) action on Thursday (March 27) as FSU opened up a three-match weekend homestand inside the FSU Racquet and Fitness Center.

The Bulldogs swept the doubles round, winning the three matches by scores of 8-0, 8-0 and 8-1, respectively, from top to bottom.

In singles play, all six matches were determined in straight-sets as the Bulldogs recorded the shutout victory. The closest singles encounter was a 6-1, 6-3 score at the number five flight won by Ferris State in the dominating win.

The Bulldogs moved to 5-12 overall and 4-2 in GLIAC play with the win against the Storm in Big Rapids.

Ferris State continues its league homestand on Friday (March 28) as FSU hosts Walsh starting at 3 p.m. (ET). The Bulldogs then face Malone on Saturday (March 29) at the Racquet & Fitness Center beginning at 11 a.m. (ET).
