Ferris State Men's Tennis Starts GLIAC Play With Decisive Road Victory

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's tennis team opened Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) action in a big way as the defending league champions topped Findlay 7-2 on the road Saturday (March 19) in Findlay, Ohio.

The Bulldogs swept the doubles round in taking the early advantage against the Oilers and then completed the victory with wins at the bottom four singles positions.

A pair of Bulldog players in Steward Sell and Daniel Tarantinov both were double winners on the day for Ferris State.

With the win, Ferris State also improved to 10-3 overall this campaign. The Bulldogs are ranked second in the latest Midwest Regional Rankings and 32nd nationally in the most recent poll.

Ferris State wraps up its weekend road set in the GLIAC by visiting Hillsdale on Sunday (March 20) at 12 p.m. (ET). FSU then returns home to host rival Grand Valley State on Wednesday (March 23) starting at 6 p.m. (ET) at FSU's Racquet and Fitness Center.
