Ferris State Men's Tennis Stays Unbeaten With Shutout Victory In Home Opener

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's tennis team stayed unbeaten on the season as the Bulldogs claimed a decisive 9-0 win over visiting Aquinas in their 2017 home opener on Saturday (Feb. 18) afternoon at FSU's Racquet and Fitness Center in Big Rapids.

The Bulldogs improved to 2-0 on the year by beating the Saints in Big Rapids.

FSU swept the doubles round to take a 3-0 lead into singles play where the Bulldogs managed to win all six positions. Five of the six singles wins came in straight-sets.

The Bulldogs completed the sweep at six singles where Simon Levy claimed a 10-8 triumph in the third set tiebreaker.

Ferris State continues a four-match homestand as the Bulldogs host Indianapolis in regional action on Friday, Feb. 24, at home. Match time is set for 1 p.m. (ET). The Bulldogs then open GLIAC play on Saturday (Feb. 25) versus Findlay starting at 10 a.m. (ET).
