Ferris State Keeps Winning Streak Going In Men's Tennis Action With Weekend Sweep

Big Rapids, Mich. - The nationally 25th-ranked Ferris State University men's tennis squad ran its winning streak to nine matches in a row as the Bulldogs swept both Michigan Tech and Lake Superior State by identical 9-0 scores over the weekend on Saturday and Sunday (March 24-25) in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) play at the FSU Racquet and Fitness Center.

The Bulldogs topped MTU on Saturday before coming back to beat LSSU on Sunday in shutout fashion while improving to 12-2 overall this campaign.

Ferris State jumped out to an early lead following the doubles round an capped off both sweeps by taking all six completed singles positions.

The wins followed a close 5-4 regional setback over Lewis (Ill.) on Friday in Big Rapids.

Ferris State returns to action on Thursday (March 29) against league rival Northwood in Midland starting at 12 p.m. (ET).
