Nationally-Ranked Bulldogs Stretch Win Streak To 12-Straight With League Road Victory

Big Rapids, Mich. - The nationally 17th-ranked Ferris State University men's tennis squad stretched its winning streak to 12 consecutive matches as the Bulldogs opened up a weekend Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) road swing with a 6-3 win over Tiffin on Saturday (April 7) in Ohio.

The Bulldogs held onto first place in the league standings and improved to 15-2 overall along with a perfect 5-0 in the GLIAC by beating the Dragons at the Heminger Center.

Tiffin won the number one doubles flight, but FSU came back to post victories and the two and three spots in building a 2-1 edge heading into singles action.

In the singles round, the Dragons picked up wins at the second and fourth flights. However, FSU got a three-set win from number one player Steward Sell and then claimed straight-set victories from Daniil Tarantinov, Pablo Munoz Baroja and Mathis Guerre at the three, five and six flights, respectively, while notching the win.

Ferris State remains the only unbeaten team in the GLIAC this year in league action.

The Bulldogs conclude the weekend road set by visiting Wayne State on Sunday (April 8) for a 10 a.m. (ET) conference tilt in Detroit. It is the first of FSU's final three league regular-season outings remaining.
