Men's Tennis Takes Tiffin To The Wire In Close Regional Road Decision

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's tennis team dropped a close 4-3 decision to the Tiffin Dragons on Sunday (Feb 23) at the Lakewood Racquet Club in Lexington, Ohio.

The Bulldogs closed out a three-match regional weekend trip and took the Dragons to the wire before falling just short.

Tififn garnered the initial point of the match by taking two of the three doubles spots although the Bulldogs' tandem of Cedric Rupa and Josh McDermott emerged victorious by a 7-6 score at the second spot in the lineup.

In singles action, Yannic Alexander Mader was a decisive 6-2, 6-1 winner at the number one flight in the lineup while Mathis Guerre registered a 6-2, 6-3 win at the third spot. FSU also got a three-set decision from Alec Olivier at five singles, but the Dragons claimed the other three flights to garner the win.

Ferris State will host Hillsdale in yet another regional tilt on Saturday at 12 p.m. (ET) at the FSU Racquet and Fitness Center before heading to Florida for spring break action March 9-13.
