Early Start Lifts Rollins Over Ferris State In Men's Tennis Contest

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's tennis squad took on another challenging foe from the Sunshine State on Tuesday (March 10 with the Bulldogs dropping a 4-0 decision to Rollins (Fla.) at the Bert Martin Complex in Winter Park, Fla.

The two teams battled to the finish in three tightly-contested doubles matches with the Tars picking up the initial point by taking the second and third flights.

FSU's Mathis Guerre and Pablo Munoz Baroja emerged victorious at number one doubles with a 6-4 triumph while both the second pairing of Josh McDermott and Cedric Rupa along with the third pairing of Yannic Alexander Made and Alec Olivier fought to 7-5 scores.

Rollins managed to secure the victory by taking the first three completed singles flights with wins at the fourth, fifth and sixth flights in straight-sets. 

Ferris State will look to get back on track against nationally-ranked Saint Leo on Thursday at 11 a.m. (ET) before closing out the trip against Eckerd (Fla.) on Friday at 2 p.m. (ET).
