Ferris State Men's Tennis Pulls Out Close Regional Victory Over Walsh

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's tennis team pulled out a regional victory over Walsh on Friday (Feb. 19) by a close 4-3 score at the FSU Racquet and Fitness Center.

The Bulldogs took the first point in the match by sweeping the doubles round and then managed to split the six singles flights to earn the win.

In singles action, FSU's Jan Koupil, Yannic Alexander Made and Benjamin Lortie all earned straight-set wins at the two, three and four spots in the lineup.

Walsh recorded wins at the first, fifth and sixth flights with two of the three contests going to the tie-break.

Ferris State will next take on Hope College on the road on Saturday, Feb. 27, with match time set for 3 p.m. (ET) in Holland, Mich.
