FSU Tops Defending GLIAC Champion Wayne State In League Opener

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's tennis squad moved to 6-0 on the year with a 4-3 win over Wayne State on Friday (March 19) in the 2021 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) opener at the FSU Racquet and Fitness Center.

The Bulldogs opened GLIAC play with a win as FSU took two of the three doubles flights to garner the initial point in the match before taking the final three singles flights.

FSU topped the defending GLIAC Champion Warriors with a strong performance in the bottom half of the singles lineup, winning at the four, five and six singles positions.

In doubles play, the Bulldogs captured both the second and third flights in the lineup.

FSU will host Ashland in GLIAC action on Saturday, March 20, with match time set for 3 p.m. (ET) at the FSU Racquet and Fitness Center.
