Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's tennis squad won its 10th consecutive match and stayed perfect on the year as FSU topped visiting Purdue Northwest 5-0 on Sunday (April 11) evening in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) play.

FSU posted its second win of the weekend inside the Racquet and Fitness Center, moving to 10-0 overall and 5-0 atop the GLIAC standings with the triumph.

The Bulldogs started strong, taking the doubles point by virtue of a 6-2 win at the number one flight and a 6-4 decision at three doubles. The lone win for the Pride came at two doubles in a tightly-contested 7-6 match.

Ferris State left no doubt, though, in the singles round as the Bulldogs swept the top four flights in the lineup. The final two singles spots were not played with the match result already determined.

The Bulldogs' four singles wins included a pair of three-set triumphs at the second and third flights.

The match represented the final regular-season home contest of the year for the Bulldogs, who finished with a 6-0 mark on their home surface with the final three regular-season contests all slated for the road.

The Bulldog men will visit West Michigan rival Grand Valley State on Wednesday (April 14) for a 2 p.m. (ET) league tilt. Both schools sit on top of the league standings with identical 5-0 conference records entering the showdown.

Ferris State then heads to Michigan's Upper Peninsula to face Lake Superior State and Michigan Tech this coming weekend.
