FSU's Kevin Kovacs Advances To Semifinal Round At ITA Midwest Regional Championships
Big Rapids, Mich. - Ferris State University men's standout Kevin Kovacs advanced to the semifinal round in singles play on Sunday (Sept. 28) with another strong day at the 2025 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Midwest Regional Championships.
The event, which is being hosted by Grand Valley State, features the top competitors from across the region competing in both individual singles and doubles play. A total of 172 participants were included in the field.
FSU's Kevin Kovacs, who entered as the number two seed in the main singles draw, moved into the semifinals with a pair of wins in day two action and will next compete on Monday (Sept. 29) morning starting at 9 a.m. (ET).
The semifinal winners will then square off in the finals on Monday with a berth in the 2025 ITA Cup Championships in Georgia next month on the line.
In addition to his performance, the Bulldogs also came away with impressive wins in both the B and C singles and doubles draws in day two play.
