FSU Track Took Part In Mike Lints Laker Open

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's and women's indoor track and field teams returned to Allendale for the second-straight week to compete in the Mike Lints Laker Open hosted by Grand Valley State on Friday (Jan. 21) night.

The non-scoring competition took place inside GVSU's Laker Turf Building and included athletes from schools such as FSU, GVSU, Calvin, Toledo, Aquinas and others.

Sophomore Alyssa Osika paced the Bulldog women's squad as she came in fourth overall in the 800 meters (2;20.49) and was also eighth overall in the mile run (5:06.04).

Sophomore Zoey Hohmann was fifth in the women's 400 meters (59.20) for FSU and Jessica Pilling took fourth in the weight throw (46-5.25).

Sophmore Anna Rudd finished sixth in the women's 3,000 meters (10:10.79).

Meanwhile, senior Justin Price claimed fifth place in the men's 400 meters (49.93) and was 10th in the 200 meters (22.81) for the Bulldog men.

Bill King added a 10th place finish in the men's mile run (4:30.43).

The Bulldogs are next scheduled to compete in the Division II Challenge on Feb. 4-5 at Findlay, Ohio.
