Ferris State Opens Outdoor Track Season With 26 Top-Five Finishes

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's and women's track and field teams officially opened the outdoor campaign on Saturday (March 26) as FSU took part in the Dick Small Invitational hosted by Defiance (Ohio).

Both Ferris State teams placed fourth overall in a competitive field with the women's squad racking up 104 total points and the men's team netting 90 points.

The field included such schools as Case Western, Alma, Northwood, Defiance, FSU, Olivet, Albion and Trine.

FSU totaled 26 top-five finishes in the season-opening outdoor meet.

The Bulldogs will be back in action on Saturday (April 2) as FSU hosts its own Bulldog Invitational at FSU's Top Taggart Field in Big Rapids.
