FSU Drops Two-Run Decision To C.W. Post

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University softball team wrapped up day two action at the Florida Rebel Spring Games Tournament on Sunday (March 4) with a 2-0 setback to nationally 12th-ranked C.W. Post (N.Y.) at Kissimmee, Fla.

The Bulldogs dropped to 1-3 overall with the loss.  All three losses have either came by two runs or in extra innings.  FSU stranded 13 runners on base against C.W. Post.

FSU's Dana Bowler took the loss after pitching all seven innings.  She gave up four hits, two earned runs while hurling four strikeouts and walking two.

C.W. Post scored once in the fifth and once in the seventh to account for the scoring with both runs coming off of doubles.

Morgan Kramerich led FSU at the plate with a two-of-four showing.  Stephanie Dusendang doubled for the Bulldogs while Amy Dunleavey and Michelle Tononi both produced a hit as well.

Ferris State returns to action on Monday (March 5) as the Bulldogs continue competition in the Florida Rebel Spring Games.  The Bulldogs face Wheeling Jesuit (W.Va.) at 3 p.m. (ET).  Additionally, FSU will also play St. Cloud State at 5 p.m. (ET).
