Ferris State Softball Posts Split At The Spring Games In Friday Action

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University softball team earned a hard-fought split on Friday (March 13) as the Bulldogs continued action in The Spring Games at the National Training Center in Clermont, Fla.

The Bulldogs fell in a close game by a count of 11-9 on Friday morning to Merrimack, but came back to post a shutout victory over Urbana (Ohio) by a 3-0 score.

With the split, the Bulldogs have now won three of their last five games overall to date this year. The other two setbacks in the stretch have both been determined by two runs or less.

Ferris State has two days of action remaining in The Spring Games as the Bulldogs will play a twinbill on both Saturday and Sunday (March 14-15).

On Saturday, Ferris State squares off against Minnesota State Moorhead starting at 3 p.m. (ET) before facing Minot State (N.D.) at 5 p.m. (ET). FSU then wraps up the trip on Sunday with a two-game set versus Minnesota State Moorhead again and Augustana (S.D.) with game times set for 5 and 7 p.m. (ET), respectively.
