Five Ferris State Softball Standouts Garner All-GLIAC Honors

Big Rapids, Mich. - A total of five Ferris State University softball standouts have been named to the 2025 All-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Team as the league unveiled its postseason award recipients on Wednesday (April 30) afternoon.

The voting was conducted by the league's member head coaches and the all-conference teams were announced on the eve of the league's annual postseason tournament, which begins on Thursday (May 1) in Rosemont, Ill.

The Bulldogs had an All-GLIAC First Team selection in sophomore first baseman Alexis Kozlowski (Gaylord), who claimed all-league laurels for the second year in a row. She was one of 15 first-team picks from across the league.

Meanwhile, junior second baseman Jadyn Joseph (Holt) garnered all-league recognition for the third year in row by being chosen to the All-GLIAC Second Team. Sophomore pitcher Ceceila Bell (South Elgin, Ill.) also earned all-conference second team honors.

Finally, the Bulldogs also had two GLIAC Honorable Mention choices in senior third baseman Brooklyn Verbeek (Grandville/Calvin Christian) and outfielder Emma Gillard (Ravenna). Gillard earned the same honor a year ago.

Together, the five honorees helped lead Ferris State to a 27-17 overall record this year in regular-season play, which represents the program's most wins in nine years. The Bulldogs have also earned their first NCAA Regional Ranking in a decade and are in position to potentially claim a NCAA Tourney berth heading into the weekend.

Ferris State, which enters the GLIAC Tournament having placed among the top three league squads, is the number three seed and will go up against number six seed Roosevelt this Thursday (May 1) in an opening-round tilt at the double-elimination conference tournament. First pitch is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. (ET).
