*2009-10 Golf World/NGCA Division II Coaches' Poll Release (11/9/09)* PDF

The second 2009-10 Golf World/Nike Golf Division II Coaches' Poll of the fall season lists the Ferris State University women's golf team 21st among the nation's top-ranked teams to date.

The Bulldogs received 70 points in the poll and are one point in back of California-Monterey Bay and Sonoma State (Calif.) for 19th place.  Nova Southeastern (Fla.) holds down the top placing with 281 points and 10 first-place votes.

This second fall season poll will appear in the Nov. 9 issue of Golf World and can be viewed online at www.golfworld.com.  The Golf World/Nike Golf Division II Coaches' Poll combines the resources of Golf World magazine, Nike Golf and the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).

Ferris State, which has concluded its 2009 fall campaign, is now idle until the 2010 spring season when the Bulldogs resume action on the links at the Northern Kentucky Invitational (March 27-28).

The Bulldog women's golf team finished sixth place or higher in three tournaments this fall, which included a team-best third-place performance at the Northern Arizona Mountain Shootout in Flagstaff, Ariz.  Ferris State was ranked 18th in the first national poll of the 2009 fall season.

FSU, under third-year head coach Mike Mignano, entered this 2009-10 season ranked ninth in Golf World/Nike Golf Division II Preseason Coaches' Poll (Sept. 3).
