Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's golf team finished tied for eighth overall after Sunday's (April 14) final round of action at the Dolores Black Falcon Invitational hosted by Bowling Green State University.

The Bulldogs, who posted a 340 figure in a weather-challenged opening round on Saturday, came back to record a 308 total in the second and final round to finish at 648 (+72) for the event, which tied NCAA Division I Cleveland State for eighth place overall.

Ferris State's 308 figure on Sunday was the third-best among the 16 teams on the final day, trailing only champion Detroit's 296 score along with Cleveland State's 305 mark.

The University of Detroit won the team title with a 618 score followed by Indianapolis (633) and host BGSU (635) in the tournament, which featured 11 NCAA Division I members among the 16 competing teams at Stone Ridge Golf Club in Bowling Green.

Detroit had the top two finishers as Olivia Richards posted a two-day 149 (+5) figure followed by teammate Lindsey Lammers at 153 (+9).

Ferris State's Emily Rohdy tied for fifth place in the field as she carded a 74 on day two after opening the event with a 82 Saturday to finish at 156 (+12) overall.

Behind Rohdy for FSU was Jacqueline DeBoer, who notched a second-day 78 figure on the heels of an 84 first day score.  She wound up tied for 27th overall with a 162 for the tournament.

The Bulldogs' Libby Berens came in tied for 38th at 165 after carding an 88 on Saturday followed by a 77 on Sunday.

Ashley Swanson placed tied for 48th individually with a 167 on rounds of 88 and 79 while teammate Cooper Shawen was next in line at 168, which was good for a share of 51st place on scores of 86 and 82 in the first and second rounds, respectively.

The par 72 course measured 5,960 yards.

Ferris State is back in action on Saturday and Sunday, April 20-21, at the Northwood Invitational in Midland, Mich.
