Ferris State Women's Golf Moves Up To Fourth On Final Day At Northwood Invite

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's golf team wrapped up action in the Northwood Invitational with a fourth-place finish as final round play concluded on Tuesday (Oct. 4) at the Midland Country Club in Midland.

A total of 11 teams took part in the two-round event played on a par 70 course measuring 5,851 yards.

Findlay finished first in the field with a 586 total followed by host Northwood (613) and Northern Michigan (617) in the top three overall. The Bulldogs shot a 631 team score on rounds of 312 Monday and 319 on Tuesday.

Destiny Lawson paced the Bulldogs with a 152 figure as she placed 10th overall in the individual field. Lawson shot a 74 in round one followed by a 78 in the final round.

Meanwhile, Morgan Zloto and Jordan Duvall both finished tied for 23th overall as each shot 161 scores for the 36 holes of action. Zloto notched an 80 in the final round after a first-day 81 figure while Duvall shot 78 on Tuesday following her opening-round 83 score.

FSU's Elizabeth Bauernfeind came in tied for 29th with a 162 mark on rounds of 77 and 85 over the two days of action, respectively. 

Finally, Sydney Murphy placed 31st in the field at 163 with a first-round 80 and a second-round 83 score.

The Bulldogs will next take part in the Findlay Beall Fall Classic set for Sunday and Monday, Oct. 9-10, in Findlay, Ohio.
