Ferris State Women's Golf Cards 333 Team Score In Day One Action At Beall Fall Classic

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's golf team opened action in the Findlay "Bing Beall" Fall Classic by shooting a 333 team score on Sunday (Oct. 9) in Findlay, Ohio.

The Bulldogs are currently ninth overall in the 15-team field on the par 72 course measuring 6,093 total yards.

Missouri-St. Louis holds the lead after the first 18 holes of action with a 309 team score followed by host Findlay (310) and Grand Valley State (311) in the top three overall.

Ferris State was led in day one action by Destiny Lawson, who is presently tied for ninth individually in the field after shooting a 77 in round one.

The Bulldogs' Morgan Zloto is currently tied for 13th overall as she shot a 79 in the first round. Meanwhile, Danielle Frank is tied for 44th with an 84 in the opening round.

FSU's Jordan Duvall carded a 93 and is 75th overall with Mari Suokko rounding out the Bulldog lineup in 82nd place with a 100 in round one.

Ferris State's Olivia Pizii is also competing in the event as an individual and shot 92 for a share of 71st place heading into day two action.

The final round will take place on Monday (Oct. 10) in Findlay.
