Bulldog Women's Golf Opens Action At NC4K Classic In Ohio
Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's golf team returned to the course on Monday (April 5) and carded a 328 score in the opening round of the NC4K Classic hosted by Ohio Dominican University in Blacklick, Ohio.
The Bulldogs currently sit ninth overall in a competitive field after the first 18 holes of action in the event, which is being contested at the Jefferson Country Club on a course measuring at 5,904 yards.
Indianapolis holds the day one lead after shooting a 306 figure with Findlay second (308) in the field.
Individually, the Bulldogs were led by Alayna Eldred, who shot a 78 and is tied for 17th in the field.
The Bulldogs' Danielle Staskowski finished the opening round with an 80, which was good for a share of 31st place overall, while Mackenzie Dale carded an 81 and is tied for 38th.
FSU's Abby Grevel registered a 89 in the first round and is tied for 73rd with Elaina DeRose rounding out the lineup in 79th place after notching a 93 in the first 18 holes of action.
The final round is set for Tuesday (April 6).
