Ferris State Women's Golf Returns To Links On Day One At Gilda's Club Laker Invite

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's golf team returned to the course on Sunday (Sept. 25) at the 2022 Glida's Club Laker Invite in Allendale and posted a 321 team score in round one of the event.

FSU, which hosted its own Bulldog Fall Invitational on Saturday at Katke Golf Course in Big Rapids, finished +33 for the opening round and currently sits 10th overall in the event being contested at The Meadows Golf Course and hosted by Grand Valley State.

Presently, Findlay holds the day one lead at +9 with a 297 figure in the opening round followed by Tiffin in second place (301) along with Walsh and Grand Valley State, who are tied for third (306).

FSU was paced by Dani Staskowski, who shot a 77 in round one and sits tied for 16th overall.

The Bulldogs' Alayna Eldred and Elaina DeRose both carded scores of 81 and are tied for 42nd place with Kamryn Shannon shooting an 82 for a share of 45th place. Abby Grevel rounded out the FSU lineup in a tie for 61st with an 85.

Ferris State also has a pair of golfers competing individually with Lauren Kempf carding a 78 for a share of 24th place and Susie Gietl notching a 79 for a share of 33rd place overall.

Round two action continues on Monday on the par 72 course with tee times set for 9 a.m. (ET).
