Ferris State's Hallie Crozier Chosen To Receive The Kim Moore Spirit Award
Big Rapids, Mich. - The Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) recently unveiled its 2025 NCAA Division II Award recipients and the Bulldogs' Hallie Crozier was chosen to receive the Kim Moore Spirit Award.
Last October, Hallie began experiencing a slight headache following a team workout, which led to a lifesaving craniectomy. Unbeknownst to all, she was born with a tangle of blood vessels in her brain that had burst. Although the procedure saved her life, she still faces a long road to recovery.
Currently, Hallie is in a cognitive and physical rehabilitation center as she regains basic functions and works to rewire her brain. She was a constant source of inspiration for the Bulldogs, who went on to reach the NCAA Division II National Championships this past spring for the first time in 16 years.
Over the course of the 2024-25 academic year, Bulldog student-athletes and teams united to support Crozier. FSU teams last fall donned special helmet and jersey stickers with her initials and also distributed wristbands that continue to be worn with the #HallieStrong wording to student-athletes and teams.

This past season, under head coach Sam Stark's direction, the Bulldog women's golf team claimed runner-up honors in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships and went on to place among the top five teams at the NCAA East Regional Championships, punching their ticket to the D2 National Championships for the first time since 2009.
