The Bulldogs broke a scoreless tie on a shot from midfielder Rachel Fouts at 81:06 to pull out the win in front of the home fans. FSU's Audrey Romine and Meredith Smith added assists on the game-winning tally for the Bulldogs with Fouts putting the shot low to the corner from the outside off the middle pass for the win.

Fouts posted a team-high seven shots in the victory with Alexis Schodowski adding six shots and Smith recording five in the contest. Romine added four more to help the FSU cause.

Bulldog freshman goalkeeper Grace Kraft recorded the win as she capped a weekend in which she did not allow a goal in the Bulldogs' two home tilts. She made seven saves in 90 minutes of work to improve to 3-1-2 overall in net this campaign.

Tiffin's Samantha Ortenzi made nine saves and also went the distance in goal for the Dragons, who fell to 1-9-0 overall this season.

Ferris State posted a 7-3 edge in corner kick tries and Tiffin also had 10 fouls to only six for the Bulldogs.

The win was FSU's first GLIAC victory of the year after a pair of scoreless ties this season.

Ferris State hits the road as the Bulldogs visit Lake Erie on Friday (Oct. 7) for a 1 p.m. (ET) league tilt in Painesville, Ohio.
